The timeline cover is of 850 x 314 in resolution When you upload an image of the cover page, you can adjust it up or down, but not left or right, so if you use a bigger image, keep in mind Facebook will use the full width of the photo, but Once you’ve uploaded the profile photo you want to use with your cover photo, you can position it vertically. It will be only 314 pixels tall
